PathoNGen-Trace Final Meeting

June 22, 2016

One last time before the the PathoNGen-Trace project comes to an end, the consortium gathered for its final meeting at the premises of the Heinrich Pette Institute in Hamburg, Germany, from June 8th to 9th, 2016. During the two days the partners presented their work and the progress they have made since the last meeting in 2015.  Next to the discussion of the single work packages the final meeting offered the opportunity to summarise and to thoroughly discuss the achievement of the overall project goals.

The progress meeting was followed by the 2nd “Rapid Microbial NGS and Bioinformatics: Translation Into Practice” conference which also took place in Hamburg. The three day meeting gathered experts from all over the world active in applying Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) techniques to discover the epidemiology, anti-microbial resistance, ecology and evolution of microorganisms.
