Bacterial Genome Detectives -
Behind the scenes of the PathoNGen-Trace project
ARTE journalists accompanied the work of PathoNGen-Trace researchers at the Forschungszentrum Borstel and give exciting insights into the project, its motivation and objectives. The Bacterial Genome Detectives aim at analysing the genomes of different types of pathogens (e.g. Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Methicillin-resistenter Staphylococcus aureus).Thereby huge data sets are generated that provide valuable information on the characteristics of the respective pathogens used to improve diagnostics and treatment.
